The Santa Giulia Museum in Brescia will
be exploring Inca secrets in the new
exhibition entitled “Inca in Brescia: Live
the Legend - Origin and Mysteries of the
Golden Civilization”, which runs from 4th
December to June 27th next year. The Inca exhibition to be held in the
northern Italian city of Brescia will
attract a large number of visitors.
That is according to Andrea Arcai, a city
councillor, who said that the event is 'one
of the most important' in the northern part
of the country in the coming months.
Through the mysteries of the civilizations
which followed one another in Peru from the
XV century B.C. to the well-known Inca
people, attendees will be able to enjoy an
emotional exhibition with the typical sounds
and music characterizing those people, more
than 250 finds, a total immersion in the
magic still shrouding ancient pre-Columbian
civilizations.
The Santa Giulia Museum is a fascinating
museum set in a historic Benedictine
convent, and the permanent collection
includes relics dating from the prehistoric
and Celtic period, with objects including
porcelain, carvings, coins and wax seals.
The Inca exhibition will focus on the
ancient Peruvian culture.
Some of the items on display date to the
15th century BC onwards and are associated
with civilizations that existed in Peru
hundreds of years prior to the Incans.
'We are opening one of the most important
exhibitions in northern Italy and in the
world which is about the Inca culture,' said
Mr Arcai.
He added: 'We are getting paintings coming
from Mexico and Spain. It is not only
[thanks to] the cooperation of South America
but also with the most important museums in
South America.'
